Recipe for Tulsi basil pasta

Ingredients: |
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves |
- 1/4 cup Akshit Dried Tulsi (Holy Basil) Leaves |
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese |
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil |
- 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted |
- 3 garlic cloves, minced |
- Salt and pepper to taste |
- 12 oz pasta of your choice (spaghetti, linguine, or penne) |
- Optional: cherry tomatoes, sliced olives, grilled chicken or shrimp for garnish |
Instructions: |
1. Prepare the Tulsi Basil Pesto: |
- In a food processor, combine the fresh basil leaves, Akshit Dried Tulsi Leaves, grated Parmesan cheese, toasted pine nuts, and minced garlic. |
- Pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped. |
- With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil until the mixture forms a smooth paste. |
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. |
